Do
we need our own tackle?
If you have your own, bring it. We do have rental tackle available if needed. If you are bringing your own tackle, please call ahead and check to see what we are fishing for and what tackle you may need. It is always a good idea to have an assortment of hooks and weights in the event we fish two or more different species on one trip.
Do
we need fishing licenses?
If you are 16 or older, you will need at
least a one day license.
Do
you have a minimum age for children?
No we do not, and we welcome children of all ages on all of our trips. Younger children (under 10), should be well behaved and be able to stay close to the adult supervising them.
Will
I get sea sick on board?
Most people will not. If you have experienced motion sickness on other forms of travel, you may have a little problem. There are many non-prescription medicines available that may help including Dramamine or Bonine. If you are taking such medications, do so at least an hour before departure, and do not over-medicate.
What
do I do with the fish I catch?
You can have the fish cleaned on board for a small fee, give them to another passenger who wants them, or practice catch and release.
Do
you serve food and drinks on the boat?
Yes we do. Our boats offer both hot and cold galleys. This means they have a grill and can make hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and other foods. The Advance offers a cold galley only.
Can
we bring our own food and beer aboard?
Food yes, beer NO. Small, soft-sided coolers containing only food and/or non-alcoholic beverages may be brought aboard. No hard coolers are allowed on our boats, as well as illegal drug paraphernalia and large fillet knives.
Is
it customary to tip the Captain and the crew?
As with any service related business, the crew does appreciate your tips. If you feel they did a good job, by all means feel free to tip them.
